Challenge
PTCL uses SAP for enterprise resource management however to further enhance the digital business capabilities Oracle Fusion was introduce so to rapidly create and run agile based business applications.
Challenge was to develop middle-tier services that could flawlessly and automatically help both platforms to communicate with each other.
Solution
Business Technologies tech team developed specialized Web Services using Microsoft .Net Framework which helped PTCL to automate their data processing between both SAP and Oracle Fusion. XML Information set was chosen as the standard message format because its supported both the platforms.
As web protocol HTTP was already installed on all client’s operating systems thus naturally SOAP based implementation was an obvious choice. SOAP allowed immaculate invocation of web services on both SAP and Oracle platforms.
